We are thrilled to announce that acclaimed poet Mohammad Mehdi Sayyar has contributed a powerful new tagline to the “same as moses” campaign, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of our mission. Known for his evocative language and deep cultural references, Sayyar draws on historical imagery to connect the campaign’s message of hope and resilience to broader themes of oppression and eventual liberation.

In his latest piece, Sayyar reflects on the struggles faced by the people of Gaza, likening their plight to that of the ancient story of Moses. His verse, referencing “Pharaoh’s hand seeking the slaughter of thousands of children,” but with “history’s gaze remaining fixed on the cradle of Moses,” underscores the enduring strength of the oppressed and the promise of salvation.

This poetic contribution elevates the campaign’s message, reminding us that even in the darkest times, hope remains alive, much like it did in the story of Moses. We are honored to have Sayyar’s words represent this significant cause as we continue to celebrate the 60,000 births in Gaza.
